San Miguel Veterinary Clinic offers affordable and convenient pet boarding for your dog or cat. We can provide your pet with a safe and comfortable home away from home while you are away.
We know that your pet is your family and so they receive our best care.
Safe: Our facility is veterinarian supervised and your pets are cared for by our well trained staff. Dogs and cats are not allowed to socialize unless they are from the same household.
Comfortable: Our indoor boarding facility is temperature-controlled year round. We walk all the dogs outside 3 times a day for exercise and potty time during the week and 2 times a day on weekends. We provide bedding so no need to worry about bringing any. Our runs provide room to move around and play.
Healthy Diet: We will feed your pet a premium diet from Science Diet during his or her stay. Alternatively, we allow guests to bring their preferred diet from home. We ask that your food comes in a re-sealable container. This greatly reduces the chance that your pet will suffer from any intestinal distress or diarrhea as can happen when changing a pets diet. As a veterinary supervised facility, our animal hospital boarding can also provide specialized diets and medical care or medication for guests with special needs. Please note that any supplements or medications that your pet will be taking on their stay here needs to be presented with the products original packaging in order for us to legal give the pet this supplement/medication. This new requirement is an update to our boarding policy due to new regulations established by the State of Colorado. NOTE: If your pet takes CBC for any condition than our staff will Only be able to give such a supplement from an original container that is labeled for use in your pet’s species. Any CBC oils, etc that are labeled for human use will Not be given to a pet under Colorado State regulations. Thank you for your understanding.
Cat Friendly: Our cat facilities consist of separate cat condos that are in a stress free room completely separate from dogs. Cats receive personal “playtime” attention from our caring staff several times daily. They are provided with bedding and a clean litter box and are also fed Science Diet food, or any preferred food that you may bring.
Medical Boarding: If your pet has a medical condition such as diabetes, heart condition, seizures or any physical condition that requires special care; we have veterinary technicians that are available to monitor and medicate them under our doctors supervision.
Boarding requirements: We require that all dogs have proof of the distemper/parvo combination, rabies, and bordetella vaccines. Cats need to have a feline distemper combo, feline leukemia, and rabies vaccines. If your pet is not current on these vaccines, our doctor’s will be happy to give them upon check in.
NOTE Boarding Policy Update:
Due to recent updates in state regulations we have needed to update our current boarding policy as well. While your pet is boarding with us if they are taking any supplements or medications we will need you to bring in the original packaging that you bought the product in. We are now required to see the original packaging to insure that we are giving the medication/supplement that we have logged in our system that we are supposed to be giving. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter and helping us to ensure that we can provide a quality, safe environment for your pets to stay while you are away from home.
